Performance Marketing Manager
About Shally
Shally is an AI-powered storytelling platform for children and families. Parents and kids co-create magical fairytales with personalized heroes, illustrations, and narration. We're early-stage, moving fast, and looking for people who can build things that matter.
The role
We need someone who can own our paid acquisition channels end-to-end — from setting up campaigns to reading the data and iterating quickly. You'll be the first dedicated marketing hire, working directly with the founder.
What you will do
- Plan, launch, and optimize paid campaigns on Google Ads (Search, Display, YouTube), Meta (Facebook & Instagram), and X.
- Set up and manage tracking: Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, conversion events, attribution.
- Write and test ad copy and collaborate on creative briefs for visuals.
- Run A/B tests on audiences, creatives, and landing pages.
- Report on key metrics: CAC, ROAS, CTR, conversion rate — and translate them into clear recommendations.
- Manage monthly ad budgets responsibly and scale what works.
- Identify new channels and opportunities as we grow.
What we are looking for
- 3+ years running paid campaigns on at least two of: Google Ads, Meta Ads, X Ads.
- Proven track record of hitting CAC or ROAS targets.
- Hands-on with pixel setup, conversion tracking, and attribution — not just dashboards.
- Comfortable writing ad copy and briefing designers on creatives.
- Analytical mindset: you know when to kill a campaign and when to double down.
- Experience marketing to parents or family-focused audiences is a strong plus.
- Self-directed — you don't need a team around you to get things moving.
Bonus points
- Experience in EdTech, kids apps, or subscription consumer products.
- Familiarity with TikTok Ads or Pinterest.
- Experience with tools like Triple Whale, Northbeam, or similar attribution platforms.
- Basic knowledge of SEO or CRO to complement paid efforts.
What we offer
- Freelance contract, flexible hours, fully remote.
- Work directly with the founder — no layers, fast decisions.
- Clear performance targets and room to grow the role as the company scales.
- Competitive rate based on experience.
- Opportunity to shape the marketing function from the ground up.
